maiorRomania’s ambassador to Washington, George Maior, said that there is fresh interest of big American companies to invest in Romania. He underlined the fact that investors need a clear economic legislation and an environment without corruption.

„The American investors need predictability regarding the economic legislation, fiscal regime, they need a less bureaucratic regime regarding the communication on investments decisions, a Romanian private environment capable to interact with the American one for modern concepts of commercial relations, an environment that is not corrupt. Here, things are better anyway,” said Maior, cited by TV station Digi24.

“There are new potential investors satisfied by the progress in these fields, but it can always be better. I have signals that in many domains- IT, energy- there are new interests of big American companies to invest in Romania, which would be extraordinary for the consolidation of US relation, not only in classical areas,” added Maior.
